Working within a world class safety culture, the Crush Production Supervisor is responsible for day-to-day leadership, supervision, and co-ordination of the crush plant production staff to achieve required production and quality standards in a safe and efficient manner, and for promoting and maintaining positive working relationships within the production group. 

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensures compliance with Bunge safety policies by production staff and contractors at all times by putting safety before profit and production
  • Lead by example to ensure that safety culture is a natural part of the operations and continually strive for a zero incident operation
  • Trains, directs and develops hourly employees to meet the operating requirements of the production plant.
  • Demand that all problems are solved by identifying the root-cause and lead the solution to a new or improved standard
  • Ensure standardized work is evident and followed and ensure compliance and understanding by the staff
  • Coach and develop talent within the production staff
  • Administer the Collective Agreement as it applies to the production department.
  • Follow up on action required for compliance with departmental audits such as GMP, HACCP, safety and environmental issues.
  • Maintain a high standard for the plant housekeeping program.
  • Ensures environmental compliance related to plant operations.
  • Responsible for supervisory duties on a rotating shift schedule

 

Qualifications:

  • Completion of a post-secondary education in a technical discipline or related industry experience.
  • Proven leadership and supervisory skills within a team-oriented environment.
  • Demonstrated success in the application of safety standards, compliance with safety regulations, and the promotion of a safe working environment.
  • Demonstrated oral, written, and listening skills.
  • Demonstrated commitment and attention to principals of a safe & healthy work environment.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in the use of personal computers and related business software such as Word, Excel, and Lotus Notes.
  • Unrestricted cross-border mobility.
