Position Summary:

Bunge is offering an opportunity for an individual to join the Harrowby team as an Engineering Co-op Student. The position will be 4 months in duration. The successful candidate will be exposed to the day to day running of a Bunge facility in the area of manufacturing, maintenance, and engineering.

 

Core Functions:

  • Participate in facility engineering projects.
  • Involved in process optimization and learning to evaluate operations and efficiencies
  • Will learn safe operating practices and work to maintain and improve facility safety to support the company and division safety goals and initiatives. Conduct facility safety meetings, root cause analysis, and understand all accident/incident handling procedures.
  • Will be given the opportunity to learn the facility maintenance program.

 

Skill/Experience Requirements:

  • The Co-op Student program is available to Engineering students who have completed two or more years of their Engineering degree, preferable in mechanical or chemical engineering
  • Student will be expected to participate fully in the safety program
  • Excellent verbal, written, and listening communication skills with the ability to interact at all levels of the organization. Must possess strong communication skills to foster and sustain excellent relations with other departments, peers, and co-workers
  • Strong computer skills & software knowledge, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. AutoCAD experience is an asset.
  • Ability to adjust to multiple demands, shifting work priorities, ambiguity, adversity, and change
  • Must be a self-directed individual, well organized, goal oriented, and an excellent problem solver
