What you will be doing as a Automation and Electrical Maintenance Engineer – Izmir Plant
- Electrical System Maintenance: Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on all electrical systems, including power distribution, lighting, motors, and transformers. Troubleshoot electrical issues and implement effective solutions. Ensure compliance with all relevant electrical codes and safety regulations.
- Carrying out relations with official institutions to meet the electricity needs of the facilities.
- Preparing and following planned/unplanned maintenance program for malfunctions occurring in equipment.
- Following up latest technologies, implement on site when necessary & available. Helping related departments to standardize equipment and spare parts in site & CMMS (SAP-PM).
- Automation System Management: Oversee the operation and maintenance of automated systems, including PLCs, HMIs, SCADA systems, robotics, and other control systems. Develop and implement automation improvement projects to enhance efficiency and productivity.
- Collect and prepare updated information about the existing control system, including software and hardware specifications (PLCs, PCs, SCADA Servers, I/O devices, instruments, variable frequency drives, active and passive network components, network components, etc.).
- Instrumentation and Control: Maintain and calibrate instrumentation and control devices, such as sensors, actuators, and flow meters. Troubleshoot instrumentation problems and ensure accurate data acquisition.
- Project Management: Participate in the planning and execution of automation and electrical projects, including upgrades, expansions, and new installations. Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources effectively.
- Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, equipment specifications, and system configurations. Prepare regular reports on system performance and maintenance needs.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for optimizing automation and electrical systems to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance safety. Implement continuous improvement initiatives and best practices.
- Safety and Compliance: Adhere to all safety procedures and regulations. Ensure that electrical systems and automation equipment are operated and maintained in a safe and compliant manner.
- Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with other engineers, technicians, and operations personnel to ensure seamless plant operations and effective maintenance support.
What do we expect from our future colleague:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical & Electronic Engineering, Control & Automation Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in electrical maintenance and automation within an agribusiness or industrial environment.
- Strong understanding of electrical principles, automation systems, and instrumentation.
- Knowledge in industrial automation and control systems, usage of automation equipment (inverters, controllers, industrial process regulators), electric equipment of command and control.
- Experience with Siemens Control Systems systems, software and hardware (SIMATIC S7, PCS7, WinCC, TIA Portal).
- Proficiency in troubleshooting electrical and automation issues.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to work, track with contractors when necessary and control compliance.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and diagrams.
- Knowledge with CMMS. SAP is a plus.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
