We are growing and looking for a passionate, bold, and driven Quality Food Safety Lead based in Izmir Plant! Are you the one? 

 

What you will be doing in this role: 

 

  • Managing the QFS department to ensure that manufactured products comply with national laws and country regulations, customers' expectations and Bunge's commitments;
  • Maintain and improve the QFS Management System, which ensures that quality, feed safety procedures, tools and methodologies are correctly implemented and followed in all QFS activities to ensure the best quality and product safety in products offered to customers;
  • Establishing and developing Bunge's global QFS and Continuous Improvement practices (TPLYM, Toolbox talks, 5S, Kaizen, etc.);
  • Leading the implementation and maintenance of a risk-based QFS Management System. Ensuring quality assurance/quality control standards are applied to all products, complying with best practices, standards and procedures in maintaining and assuring quality;
  • Evaluating product/process quality and safety results and data trends, anticipating and communicating nonconformance before a quality crisis occurs, and proactively taking appropriate measures to prevent nonconforming products from being shipped to the market;
  • Responsible for reporting GGYS-related problems to the designated person/persons;
  • As Feed Security HACCP Team Leader, assessing operational product safety and legal risks in the Izmir facility;
  • Develop, implement and update the HACCP plan throughout the entire supply chain;
  • Managing all operational and prerequisite programs, including microbiology, pest control, GMP and hygiene, cleaning, ensuring that they are maintained appropriately and taking action when necessary;
  • Ensuring process/product checks are carried out in accordance with quality plans to detect non-conformities and ensure action is taken before delivery;
  • Organizing external laboratory analyzes for the analysis of relevant risks / contaminants according to the prepared quality plans and evaluating the results;
  • Using relevant systems such as SAP QM to record analysis results and data according to control plans and sharing the results with relevant units;
  • Determine your QFS priorities with the Factory Manager and evaluate them together with the Regional Quality Manager, according to targets, major losses, system needs, Bunge QFS targets and priorities and legal changes;
  • Supporting the Crisis Management manager with information flow such as numbers, root cause analysis and actions when necessary, and coordinating the factory/facility team for corrective and preventive actions;
  • Supporting the development of standards/GMPs by identifying "best practices" and transferring relevant information to Global/Regional teams to continue;
  • Contributing to the achievement of factory general goals through field studies by using problem-solving techniques such as Root-Cause analysis, 5 Whys or Fishbone;

 

What do we expect from our future colleague:

  

  • Higher professional education in food technology, chemical or health science related study;
  • 5 years of experience in a similar role;
  • Proficient English & Turkish are a must;
  • Ability to understand and adapt to the local culture and business environment for the region assigned; 
  • Excellent partnership with other departments; 
  • Driven and ambition person with a proactive attitude.
