Operations Trainee - Contract Manufacturing

Overall purpose of job:

Ensure Safety, Food Safety, Quality, Compliance & Production of Bakery Ingredients like Cake Premixes, Whip Topping, Cake Gel, Pan release agents, Oils and Fats etc. manufactured at 2P / 3P sourcing units, are consistently met as per company’s requirement.

Main activities / tasks:

• Implement safety systems & proactive measures in line with Bunge requirements for an incident free workplace.
• Production planning and execution including RM, PM inventory and Finished goods stocks.
• Ensure food safety, quality of Bunge products and compliance to applicable food laws
• Ensure Process and Quality control protocols as developed by Bunge are implemented and followed
• Achieve monthly production targets with zero tolerance on quality & food safety deviations.
• Coordinate with central procurement team on sourcing all inventories as per plan & alerting on re-order levels
• Maintain documentation on process, quality, traceability, mock recalls, deviations, complaint & redressal etc
• Generate daily, weekly and monthly production and quality reports
• Generate inventory reports of RM, PM, FG and monthly stock reconciliation and reporting to H.O.
• Ensure GMP & GHK systems are instituted & followed across the entire chain of 2P / 3P manufacturing.
• Provide training to 2P/3P employees on safety, food safety, quality and process.
• Work closely with product and packaging development teams to roll out new initiatives and optimization on cost and improved productivity Knowledge and Skills:
• Knowledge of Food Processing Techniques namely emulsification, blending, pasteurization etc
• Knowledge of process & quality control techniques and tools.
• Knowledge on Food Safety, HACCP and Process trouble shooting
• Knowledge on various equipment like high pressure homogenizer, blenders, colloid mills, high shear mixers, pumps, fans, blowers, refrigeration systems, packaging machines etc
• Basic knowledge of statutory requirements like FSSAI, Weights & Measures etc

Special features of job:

• Build relationship and maintain a good rapport with 2P / 3P management and their workforce to meet Bunge’s objectives.
• Meticulous planning and execution of production targets through constant coordination between Bunge & 2P/3P management.
• Develop and implement basic reliability program like TPM through appropriate maintenance platforms.
   

Other requirements:

• Good at Computers & report generation.
• Travel to market & customer point on need basis for complaint handling, product improvements etc
   

Educational qualifications: Should be a First-Class Post Graduate in Chemistry from a Premier Institute
