Position Summary:
The general functions of the Electrician include in an efficient manner installing, repairing, and removal, various electrical equipment with respect to quality, safety, and sanitation. These functions must comply with the Bunge Core values of Integrity, Team-work, Citizenship, Entrepreneurship and Openness & Trust.
Responsibilities:
- Reads and interprets drawings, sketches and layouts.
- Performs lay-out, installs and maintains a variety of electrical equipment such as motors, lighting circuits, starters, generators, transformers, or any other electrical apparatus necessary for plant operation.
- Maintains shop cleanliness.
- Does all work pertaining to changing electrical drives.
- Maintains a clean and orderly work area and removes material and equipment from job site.
- Checks output on DC controllers and replaces printed circuit boards when needed.
- Checks filter timers and replaces timers when needed.
- Installs all wiring to and between electric and electronic equipment.
- Performs miscellaneous job related duties as assigned.
Skills and Competencies:
• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental/Health Science, or closely related degree, or equivalent work experience required.
• 7+ years of safety or environmental experience required.
• Demonstrated experience with improvements in safety, productivity, teamwork
• Proven and demonstrated leadership and management skills within a team-oriented environment
• Excellent listening, verbal and written communication skills required
• Demonstrated success in the application of safety standards, compliance with safety regulations, and the promotion of a safe working environment
• Good working knowledge of PC applications such as Word and Excel
