What you will be doing in this role:

The core focus of the role is to improve, streamline and automate a manufacturing process. Our future colleague will be is responsible for the planning, implementation, and supervision of such technology.

This will be done through the following activities:

• Collect and prepare updated information about the existing control system, including software and hardware specifications;
• Collect and keep updated the latest automation software backups (PLC, SCADA, VFD, etc.).
• Prepare a technical specification for request for quotation related to the field of electrical engineering and automation.
• Support all the potential suppliers during filed visits and scope definition.
• Participate to design work at all stages of the automation modernization project. Check the project and assembly documentation.
• Participation in factory acceptance tests.
• Program new automated components.
• Installation supervision and commissioning work on the project for the modernization of the instrumentation, control system and MCC upgrade.
• Supervision of commissioning and final acceptance.
• Guaranty the process and installation safety.
• Be responsible for the management of change procedures for Automation part.
• Develop and keep updated cause and effect matrix based on existing software with process engineer.
• Eliminate defects and errors on control system and software development.
• Collaborate with other business units (Operations, IT, Industry 4.0, Project Management, Plant Maintenance, etc.).
• Provide daily support on control systems to keep manufacturing processes running in accordance to expected performance.
• Participate in cross functional teams on process related problem investigation.
• Automation third-party management.
• Definitions related to the infrastructure and architecture of networks together with other areas of the company, aiming at the segregation between IT and OT networks.
• Integration and data communication between the most diverse layers of the network, following applicable cybersecurity protocols.
• Support in defining wireless OT network and communication protocols needed to ensure connectivity.
• Interaction with process historians, enabling communications and data for deeper analysis.
• Interaction with different communication protocols (Profibus, OPC UA and DA, Profinet, etc.).

The position is based in Martfu and will report to our Maintenance Manager, based in the same location.

What do we expect from our future colleague:

• Knowledge Tools: Microsoft Office package, Excel Advanced, Tableau, Power BI;
• Soft skills: storytelling, curious, resilient, organized, urgent census and prioritization of demands;
• Experience with Project Management;
• Experience with at least one of PLC vendors, including hardware configuration and software development, such Siemens, Schneider Electric, Eaton, Rockwell Automation;
• Programming experience on any SCADA or HMI environment;
• Experience in calibration and maintenance of: Level measurement, Flowmeters, Pressure transmitters, temperature transmitters. Experience with Endress+Hauser, Emerson will be considered as an asset;
• Experience of technological processes of oil extraction (preferable);
• Knowledge of ATEX regulations;
• Experience with robotics, AI and machine learning would be a plus.
