What you will be doing as Environmental Manager:

The main focus of this role will be the management of the environmental protection operation of sites and areas, which consists of the establishment and management of daily environmental operating procedures of the sites or areas, including emergency preparedness. This also includes the inspection of the operation of sites or areas and the evaluation of their environmental protection performance.

•  Determining environmental protection quotas and fees, keeping background records, preparing reports, conducting environmental certification and certification procedures. Carrying out data services for authorities, KSH and ministries;
• Management and coordination of the Environmental Protection activity;
• Continuation of environmental protection official and other communications, conducting BEMEA reports and professional communications;
• Completing environmental procurement, which includes bidding for suppliers and service providers, selection, professional review of the contract, supervision and verification of performance, handover and acceptance of work/work area, verification of invoices;
• Within the KIR-MEBIR integrated management system introduced and operated at the Martfűi Vegetable Oil Factory, performing the duties of the KIR management representative, managing and coordinating the operation and certification of the system;
• Professional management and supervision of the introduction, operation and certification of the ISO 14001 system at non-Martfű sites;
• Management and coordination of the operation and certification of the sustainable biofuel raw material production and trade "International Sustainability and Carbon Dioxide Emission Certificate”;
•  Management of the disaster protection licensing procedure and the environmental protection planning required for it, maintaining contact with authorities, defining and proposing the tasks and developments required for licensing;
• Operation of the EPR (extended producer responsibility) system, preparation and submission of data according to the regulations;
• Development of an ESG procedure, preparation of data provision, including the ESG report.

What do we expect from our future colleague:

• A higher education degree required in Environmental Engineering;
• >5 years related experience in Food Industry;
• Fluent English and Hungarian skills;
• ISO certification;
• Strong attention to details and excellent written/verbal communication skills,
• Strong planning ability,
• Availability for travel;
