Project Planning Manager

Role Purpose Statement:
Bunge EVC is one of the strategic focus portfolio team created to focus on the Global Capital projects engineering and global engineering design standards development as a Subject Matter Experts. This team is key to support the forecasted business capital investment projects both ongoing and in future. This role is to manage & control the project planning, project scheduling and support all large projects globally for Bunge The role will also perform project planning data analysis and benchmarks with best practices and guidelines to support various project teams/PMOs.   

 

Main Accountabilities:

•    Provide standards & guidelines for project planning & scheduling to multiple project teams and working with them to arrive at the most pragmatic schedule
•    Responsible to develop and review detailed project schedule from level 1 to 5 working together with PMO, PM, Procurement and construction teams
•    Provide accurate review of project schedule at various phases of project which also include engineering development phase and project execution/construction phase •    Develop project planning & control standards/templates considering business needs and highlighting all critical milestones 
•    Expertise in the preparation of baselines, critical milestones, look ahead plan and monitoring mechanism for various projects 
•    Responsible to develop and review project planning & scheduling in detail (level 1 to 5) using reputed platforms MS projects and/or Primavera P6. 
•    Should be able to support in the development of resource loaded schedule and allocation during project execution & construction phase
•    Responsible for regular updates on project planning control to the database platform and support key KPIs presentation to the Leadership team 
•    Should be well versed with planned value, earned value and S curve calculations to maintain the high accuracy of schedules
•    Should be able to design rule of credit using various applicable parameters 
•    Should be able to conduct meetings with various stakeholders to align on project planning considering all limitations and constraints   
•    Expertise in project status monitoring, analyzing critical milestones, generate early warning mechanism and support schedule expedition
•    Business focused with effective communication skills, global mindset, understanding of engineering and construction requirements and regional & global relevant standards 
•    Should be able to support capex control mechanism, post project analysis and lesson learnt exercise
•    Driving end User Team Training Program, Promoting use of Project Planning & scheduling techniques across Bunge Regions and Business teams
•    Responsible for timely submission of project planning documents and internal reports as per agreement with PMO
•    Should be able to work on various softwares available and develop skills to analyze and benchmark 
•    Ensure good documentation system to manage, control & report various projects in parallel workflow

Bunge EVC is one of the strategic focus portfolio team created to focus on the Global Capital projects engineering and global design standards development as a Subject Matter Experts. Bunge is currently planning to invest more than 2  Billion US Dollars in Capital projects in coming few years. Business desires to expand the Global engineering value center team to focus on all sort of engineering design & planning aspects to generate the significant value in terms of optimized design, safety in design, right technology selection, cost of the system, accurate planning, statutory compliance, storage & management of engineering designs etc.. 
In order to support large capital global projects EVC has proposed a position of “Global Project Planning Manager” who will lead the portfolio and work with internal engineering and project management teams to develop, manage & control accurate project scheduling and planning for large capital projects.

• Successfully implementing Global Project planning & scheduling standards in various large capital projects and share best practices at regular period
• Training and regular updates.
• Project Scheduling Forecast and Control reports
• Major Opportunities and Decisions (Describe the more difficult and/or complex challenges or opportunities and decisions faced in doing work, improving processes or meeting customer needs.  Where must position focus to be successful?):
• Project control system, planning system, better scheduling mechanism for the timely delivery of large projects

Knowledge and Technical Competencies :

• Ability to develop & manage project planning & scheduling techniques professionally & accurately in P6 and MSP
• Able to connect with internal and external stakeholders 
• Data management & Analytical skills
• Expertise in Primavera, MS projects, MS Office
• Good communication, interpersonal and influencing skills

Education/Experience:

• Should be a first-class graduate in Engineering/ B.E/B-Tech
• 10+ years’ experience in Project planning & schedule for large projects, Data Analysis & Benchmarking.
