The Canadian Bulk Trade Sales & Business Analyst will champion a customer focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader systems and knowledge. Reporting to the Director Bulk Sales, they will learn about the Canadian oilseed commodities markets, acting as a partner to the Canadian Commercial Organization providing market deep insights, overseeing accurate delivery of data processing, data management for commodity market applications for the Canadian business and in conjunction with our St Louis based liquid oils team.
Main Accountabilities
- Under guidance of Bulk Director, perform market research, develop customers and sell commodity products to the established customer base
- Understand business and competitive climate to analyze forecasts, including trend, seasonality providing those insights to the business in daily, weekly, monthly reporting
- Analyzes and provides insights and solutions on trends in contracting, contract drag, taking appropriate action in consultation with Director Bulk and Director commercial
- Conduct quantitative analyses of information affecting commodity markets
- Support the commercial business with knowledge based insight reporting & presentations for leadership teams and sales organization
- Under the guidance of Bulk director, support the management of the specialty HEAR program for North America, from seed through finished product, managing customer relationships, plant and quality specifics and overall contribution margin.
- Provide excellent customers service by building strong relationships with Traders, sales, internal teams and external clients
- Develop strong working relationships with Logistics to minimize costs and exposure while maximizing returns for Bunge
- Develop and maintain relationships with the US Liquid oils sales team. Increase their understanding of the market, and shape messaging to customers, including in person meetings.
- Coordinate with other Bunge units as needed to maximize Bunge sales opportunities and returns as it relates to trade accounts in support of maximizing the volumes through Canadian Refineries.

- This role is an individual contributor role supporting the Canadian business.
- The Canadian Business manages Canadian Food Ingredient and Bulk trades sales and supports the Foodservice, and US Liquid Oils Business units.
- Total Canadian volume and Revenue 2.4Bil lbs/$900Mil Revenue.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Successful management of contract drag with no more than 3% contract drag
- Successful pricing guidance to achieve a win rate of 35%+ whitespace opportunities with increased margin YoY
- Development and ongoing reliable and relevant trends and insights reporting
- YoY increase in Trade Accounts (TBD Annually)
- Compliance to key business processes and controls.

- Deriving keen insights from the commodity markets and delivering those insights in a digestible fashion for the business
- Understanding current reporting and driving new, efficient modes of reporting

- Must have ability to interact with Leadership, peers and subordinates in an authentic manner, making all feel at ease with subject material.
Knowledge and Technical Competencies
- Working knowledge of commodities, commodity markets
- Understanding of domestic markets with emphasis on canadian markets and competitive landscape
- Knowledge of crush margins and returns, freight spreads, and a strong understanding of supply and demand in balancing and evaluating Canadian product availability and returns
- Excellent communication skills
- Mastery of Microsoft Suite
- SAP knowledge
- Tableau knowledge
- Salesforce knowledge
- Ability to Manage projects and timelines in a fast paced and time bound business
- Ability to translate market language to non-technical terms for the customers and internal stakeholders
Education/Experience
- Bachelors in Business Administration, Agricultural Business or Agricultural economics; MBA an asset
- 3+ years’ experience in commodity markets or other related experience
- Strong Analytical and problem-solving skills
