The National Account Sales Manager will lead Bunge’s efforts to profitably grow the business with national/regional bakery and industrial food manufacturing (large & small), confectionary and non-food markets through category leadership that supports the customer’s growth and improves Bunge’s share and value mix.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                         



  • Be a catalyst for the change required to meet Bunge’s strategic objectives in the bakery, industrial food, confectionary and non-food manufacturing markets                                       
  • Work as a team with the Sales Director, Inside Sale Representatives and Customer Service Representatives to continually prospect and develop new opportunities to grow Bunge’s market share                                                                       
  • Support the existing business while growing margin and sales volume, with particular focus on value-added products                                                                                                                             
  • Work closely with Marketing, Product Development and Product Management to provide effective category management strategies                                                                               
  • Develop relationships with the customer’s key leaders in general management, procurement, marketing and merchandising at both the corporate and divisional level                               
  • Connect other Bunge team members in applications, R&D, Marketing and price risk management resources to key customers to create a differentiated customer experience which drives value added growth                                                
  • Develop and execute customer development plans aimed at building long-term partnerships with our national/regional partners                                                                                                          
  • Drive customer focus by being the voice of your customers within the broader Bunge Loders Croklaan organization                                                                                                                      
  • Perform standard account management tasks such as customer insight gathering, price intelligence, forecasting, customer development planning, customer service delivery, and contract / price management among others                                                                   
  • Trade show participation

    • Volume and total contribution margin growth

Qualifications/Experience Requirements:                                                                                            

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field preferred; 4-8 years of Ingredient Sales into Industrial Bakery/Food manufacturing/Confectionary experience required                               
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with customers, senior management, peers, and subordinates                                                                                                                                    
  • Experience operating in a cross functional organization                                                                  
  • Experience driving value added sales through solution selling processes                                                 
  • Strong customer knowledge and relationships across the bakery/food/confectionary industry
  • Experience managing a portfolio of products ranging from basic staple commodities to specialty value-added                                                                                                                                                               
  • Strong proficiency in office productivity and CRM software                                          
  • Excellent negotiating & organizational skills                                                                                         
  • Strong teamwork and collaboration skills                                                                                                              
  • Ability to travel up to 25%                                                                                                                           
  • Requirement to maintain all aspects of the quality and food/feed safety system such as QMS, HACCP, GMP and other BNA systems.
