Position Summary:

The Pricing Specialist is responsible for pricing, pricing analytics and price quotes to Canadian customers. Focus will be on delivering a high level of service, consisting of accurate information provided within set time constraints, to an internal/external customer base.  Responsible for sourcing and analysis of data to support decision making, this position leverages strong data extraction and modeling skills to drive monthly reporting deliverables and ad-hoc business analysis. The successful candidate will need to gain an understanding of commodities trading, products and ingredients and their influence on finished product cost, market factors influencing price and the effects of volume, product and customer segment on gross profit.  

This position allows the individual a broad exposure to a variety of departments and positions the individual for furtherance in a number of areas within Bunge. Reporting to the Manager Pricing Canada, this position will work closely with Sales, Customer Service, Product Management, Contracting, and Logistics.  The individual must have the ability to communicate effectively across technical and non-technical business units and work with senior business stakeholders across the Sales teams to deliver insights with impact. Interactions will include but are not limited to sales, finance, product management and operations.

Core Functions:

Price Quotes – Assist the Manager Pricing Canada and Sr Business Analyst Pricing with daily quoting based on Chicago Board of Trade and various other commodity pricing.  Quotes cover Food Service and Food Processor Accounts both bulk and packaged products.
Support Manager Pricing Canada with the Request For Pricing (RFP) process Conduct margin analysis of price proposal.
Upload and manage crude basis, premiums and margins to SAP VK tables.
Assist the Sr Business Analyst Pricing with various administrative activities in the Food Service channel – issue monthly, weekly and customer specific price lists, upload new pricing information to the Sales Force Knowledge Center, update pricing in customer portals.
Coordinate changes in cost accounting with Assistant Product Manager to ensure margin maintenance.
Analysis of sales by product, customer, channel to identify opportunities for profit maximization, trends and gaps.  Evaluate and research various data sets to provide deep insights, generate ad hoc and recurring business analysis, based on the needs of the stakeholders.  Provide actionable intelligence with existing metrics or identify, develop, and propose new metrics. 
Analysis of product costs, identifying opportunities and working with the appropriate associates to improve product economics.
Analysis of supply chain costs and working with the team to implement processes to improve costs and revenues associated with product delivery economics
Assist with SKU rationalization process in coordination with product line management, sales, marketing, and supply chain.
SAP Support/Regression testing – Resolving problems with SAP as it related to sales aspects in the production environment including daily transactional problem resolution,  With all new system changes & modifications, testing of new data in SAP which could affect basic transactional data. With each new upload, extensive testing to insure accurate and valid data with no impact on reporting

Skill/Experience Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Business or closely related field with 1+years of experience required.
An analytical mindset and deep analytics experience.
BS/BA in an analytical area such as Finance, Accounting, Statistics, or equivalent work experience.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Understanding of Commodities markets and edible oils product knowledge an asset.
Ability to engage with confidence across multiple levels within the company
Ability to work effectively within a collaborative and fast paced team environment
Ability to complete tasks with accuracy and with strong attention to detail
Strong financial and data modeling skills
Excellent analytical and data management skills, with advanced problem solving skills
Experienced user of technologies such as SAP, BW, Microsoft Excel, pivot table and Powerpivot
Self starter
Creative / solution oriented
