The Warehouse Technician will operate a narrow aisle stand up high reach forklift for storing products, supplies, equipment, etc., from incoming trucks and palletizer equipment and loading outbound trucks properly and safely.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                      

 

This is a night shift position.                                                            

 

Core Functions:                                                                                                                                                               

  • Comply with all safety requirements                                                                                       
  • Current forklift license (reach truck / counter balance / ride on walkie).                                                   
  • Understand and operate within the existing warehouse layout.                                                                   
  • Operate a stand-up forklift in rack storage without damage.                                                                         
  • Select product for shipping according to pick list using label, product code, code date, batch number and location information.                                                                                                                     
  • Safely and properly load trucks with various products, interpret and comply with special instructions on orders.                                                                                                                                                               
  • Identify and handle product on Quality Hold.                                                                                                      
  • Interpret receiving papers and determine where to store product / materials.                                       
  • Properly handle discrepancies between orders and receipts.                                                                        
  • Takeaway finished goods from palletizers and put into warehouse storage racks.                 
  • Accurately report rack location when placing finish goods into storage racks.                                        
  • Accurately complete all required warehouse documentation.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                      

Skill/Experience Requirements:                                                                                                                                               

  • Candidates will have successfully completed Grade 12                                                                                    
  • Possess a demonstrated mechanical aptitude.                                                                                                    
  • Capability of working shifts and flexibility to adapt to schedule changes is essential                            
  • Demonstrated ability to function safely and maintain a clean work environment.                
  • Current forklift license (reach truck / counter balance / ride on walkie).                                                   
  • Raymond narrow aisle stand up reach license                                                                      
  • Requirement to maintain all aspects of the quality and food/feed safety system such as QMS, HACCP, GMP and other BNA systems.
