If you answered yes to these questions, then you might be the perfect fit for our Trade Operations Specialist position in Riyadh.

As our Trade Operations Specialist, you will Execute and Supervise the execution of sales and purchase contracts in Saudi Arabia. You will do so by following and controlling process of issuance of all the related documentation, following up with shared services teams on cargo and services documents, and coordinating the supervision on Vessel cargo at Origin and destination with relevant Teams.

There is a close collaboration with other departments, such as trading, finance, logistics, and quality. You will have the opportunity to grow your skills and knowledge in a dynamic and encouraging environment.

 

Furthermore, you will be responsible for:

  • Vessel Monitoring: Keep track of vessel status and monitor loading and discharge  instructions.
  • Document Approval: Review and approve shipping documents.
  • Documentary Issuance Cycle: Coordinate the entire cycle of document issuance from origin to destination.
  • Frequent Customer Updates: Notify customers about their shipments, document payments and their shipping documents for bank presentations.
  • Data Management: Update SAP , Excel and other web based systems ( EDOX / ELCY / COVANTIS ) with contract and payment details.
  • Invoice Generation: Issue commercial and proforma invoices as required.
  • Coordination & Communication: Share best practices, coordinate special agreements, and maintain communication across teams.
  • Proactive Coordination: Anticipate coordination needs before national holidays and weekends.
  • Additionally, the holder of this role is expected to extend helping hands to other team members from time-to-time.

 

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A bachelor’s degree in a related field.
  • 2+ years of proven experience and demonstrated ability in trade execution within the maritime industry (background of vessels, knowledge on incoterms).
  • Fluency in English, fluency in Arabic is highly preferred.
  • Experience with SAP or similar ERP system.
  • Residing in the region of Riyadh.
  • A passion for excellence and a drive to make a difference.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, international environment.
  • Flexible approach to working outside of office hours in case of urgencies.
