Overview:

We are seeking for "Gerente de BT Eng Machine Learning" . With strong experience on deploy machine learning solutons into production by utilizing state of the art tools/algorithms and methodologies following DevOps and a test-driven development process. MLE  work in close collaborations with the data scientists and data engineer guiding them to focus not only on model and pipeline performance but also delivery stability, reproducibility, and scalability of a software product.

Essential Functions:

• Collaborate with Data Scientists to test and scale new algorithms through pilots and later industrialize the solutions at scale 
• Influence, build and maintain the large-scale data infrastructure required for the AI projects, and integrate with external IT infrastructure/service to provide an e2e solution 
• Leverage an understanding of software architecture and software design patterns to write scalable, maintainable, well-designed and future-proof code 
• Design, develop and maintain the framework for analytical pipeline 
• Develop common components to address pain points in machine learning project, like model lifecycle management, feature store and data quality evaluation
• Provide input and help implement framework and tools to improve data quality
• Work in cross-functional agile teams of highly skilled software/machine learning engineers, data scientists, designers, product managers and others to build the AI ecosystem within the Group 
• Deliver on time, demonstrating strong commitment to deliver on the team mission and agreed backlog 
• Join forces with our Software Development, Data Science and DevOps folks to understand their requirements and build well-architected, automated solutions, such as CI/CD, data pipelines or deployment infrastructure using Google Cloud Platform. 
• Establishes and implements organization, function and/or sub-function short to mid term (1-3 years) strategy.  Projects/initiatives lead have impact on business on a domestic or international scale; Is recognized as an external thought leader within strategic function or discipline.
• Manages operational plans, large projects and/or processes with limited oversight from manager. Leads and/or participates with comparable influence in large projects/initiatives; AND/OR provides leadership to professionals and support.  Contributes to short to mid term (1-3 years) talent optimization plans to execute on strategies in job area.
• Stakeholders of this role include Leadership team members, business leaders as well as technical experts making highly developed interpersonal & soft skills are important. One should be tech-savvy and business-savvy as well, should understand business, different types of data analytics technologies, apply methods to valuable authentication, prevent frauds. It is crucial to shape data products in alignment with corporate strategy and provide data insights leading to business directions.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree, or combination of years of experience and education, in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience). 
• At least 5 years proven, hands-on DevOps engineer experience with major public cloud services, with preference to GCP services, including but not limited to Compute Engine, GKE, Big Query, Cloud Run and Cloud Composer.  Bonus points, if you’ve obtained Google Cloud Professional certifications (like Architect, Data Engineer, or DevOps).

• Plays a significant role in developing other juniors, act as a technical consultant to product managers, and valued as an asset to any data science projects.
• Domain expert and functional advisor for business stakeholders
• Handle most of the day-to-day communications with the product owners. 
• Leads all internal meetings as well as weekly or fortnightly reports on the team’s progress.
• Divide their project into workstreams led by Senior Data Engineers and delegate tasks efficiently. Ensure that the project is well executed and deliverables are completed according to the timeline.
• Ability to apply software development best practice into machine learning project, including unit test, DevOps integration, release management, test driven development, etc.
• Ability to automate development process of machine learning project by leverage state of art tools and technology like container, continuous integration and delivery, orchestration tools
• Familiar with at least one of major cloud solutions, preferably GCP. Able to recommend and select right services available in cloud to address technical problem
• Good understanding and experience with software design principle and design pattern
• Good understanding of Agile and scrum methodology, keep team focus on deliver business value
• Ability to transform proof of concept machine learning models into scalable solutions
• Self-motivated with strong problem-solving and learning skills
• Flexibility to changes in work direction as the project develops
• Believes in a non-hierarchical culture of collaboration, transparency, safety, and trust
• Work with a focus on value creation, growth and serving customers with full ownership and accountability. 
• Demonstrable Terraform experience 
• Have implemented Kubernetes and Docker (or similar container engine) solutions 
• Have built large-scale monitoring solutions with Google Cloud Monitoring or other tools (e.g., Datadog, Sentry, Prometheus, Grafana, SolarWinds).  
• Knowledge of Python and any other scripting language (e.g., Bash). If you have experience building Data Platform products and with big data technologies like Spark, it is a plus
