The Role:

Define, develop, and implement a learning organization approach to promote an organization, skilled at creating, acquiring, sharing knowledge as well as promote behaviors to reflect new knowledge and insights.

In this role you will develop, coordinate, and lead the implementation of the learning organization concept for Bunge Global Industrial Operations. It will ensure alignment with global initiatives and achievement of capabilities to improve learning organization strategy based on main principles of Collaborative Learning Culture, "Lifelong Learning" Mindset, Shared Vision (Forward-Thinking Leadership), Knowledge Sharing (Team Learning) and Innovation Mental models.

This role is part of Operational Excellence leadership team. It partners and impacts all 9 pillars of our integrated Bunge Production System and integrates with our Human Resources (HR) areas.

Main Accountabilities:

  • Serve as the subject matter expert regarding Learning Organization concept.
  • Develop strategies and techniques that will maximize learning, knowledge transfer and improve performance.
  • Identify tactics to increase senior management support for the value of learning organization.
  • Define practical ways to implement a collaborative approach to Problem Solving.
  • Promote a knowledge and learning culture that helps employees in upskilling and knowledge sharing bent on productivity and cross-departmental support.
  • Develop techniques and technology tools for proactive and forward-thinking model across business units and working group leaders based on current regular team meetups, active social media engagement and live webinars to set the pace for organizational growth.
  • Identify roles and responsibilities in the learning organization in order to establish the required partnership between learning and performance improvement professionals and line managers.
  • Benchmark learning organization in Bunge against companies and High-Performance Learning Organizations.
  • Examine the key challenges facing the learning organization development.
  • Link learning initiatives to business needs.
  • Assess and develop internal learning resources.
  • Select and manage external resources for knowledge sharing and team learning.
  • Identify evaluation strategies for measuring the effectiveness of learning initiatives.
  • Reinforce and integrate learning transfer and post learning program support.
  • Implement learining programs and projects and develop or coordinate metrics for learning organization.
  • Proactively identify and mitigate scope, timing, budget, and resource risks for implementing learning organization tools and techniques.
  • Asjust project schedules and resources as necessary to meet project objectives.
  • Provide routine project reporting and documentation to include status, open issues, resource and schedule detail.


You will work closely with business unit managers, Continuous Improvement (CI) and HR teams to develop Business Unit/region/plant specific learning plans. You’ll provide functional guidance for CI and HR Leaders in Business Units regarding the Learning Organization strategy.

This role ideally is based in Barcelona, but other locations worldwide may be considered. The availability to travel is required.

What will you bring to the role

For this role we are looking for a Global Learning and Change Leader with knowledge of and shown expertise in various learning and improvement technologies and approaches, who is used to work in projects and able to make data-driven decision making and analysis. One key ability is highly collaborative and teamwork oriented approach being able to influence and build trusting relations across all levels and cultures. This will require strategic thinking and good global business management. Analyzing and applying a broad organizational and business perspective to identify and maintain focus on key drivers of organizational performance. Most importantly the leader that will take this role has the ability to motivate, energize, align, and promote change in others related to a common purpose and objectives.

In short: You’re a senior leader who is able to create community engagement, drive change to develop a culture and learning mindset and improve a knowledge management approach at global level.

Other requirements:

  • Master’s degree in appropriate technical or business analysis curriculum.
  • At 8 to 10 years related continuous improvement and/or learning management experience. Experience in an Industrial Environment highly preferred.
  • Experience setting improvement strategies, strategies execution.
  • Multi language skills with foundation of very good English communication skills essential.
