This position will promote a strong global ethics and compliance culture with a focus on the Asia region under general supervision from the Chief Compliance Officer, Global Director of Ethics, Business Integrity and Security, and a Regional Senior Manager.

 

Job Responsibility:

•    Conduct investigations across the Asia region regarding alleged or suspected violations of criminal law and corporate policies. Investigations will include, but not be limited to, matters related to ethics and compliance including Asset Misappropriation, Financial Statement Fraud, Bribery & Corruption, Conflicts of Interest, and other areas as directed by management.
•    Gather, review, and analyze data in support of an investigation.
•    Prepare work papers to adequately document investigations performed with supporting evidence for all findings.
•    Conduct informational and confrontational type interviews.
•    Resulting from investigations, assist with the assessment of control weaknesses and root causes.
•    Prepare clear, concise and cohesive investigative reports and memoranda in a timely manner.
•    Present the findings of investigations to stakeholders responsible for disciplinary actions and corrective measures.
•    Maintain case files in the GEI case management system.
•    Assess conflict of interest disclosures, and brief management on the findings and conclusions.
•    Assess gifts and entertainment review requests, and brief management on the findings and conclusions.
•    Assist other GEC functions with the third party risk management/due diligence investigation program.
•    Assist other GEC functions with the Global Data Privacy program.
•    Assist management in global  fraud and compliance risk assessment processes. 
•    Perform administrative duties, including distribution of compliance information, maintaining compliance documentation and managing compliance-related databases.
•    Coordinate and deliver educational/informational/training sessions for employees and annual certification processes.
•    Participate in global GEC projects as directed by management.
•    Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by GEI/GEC.

 

Requirements

•    Bachelor’s Degree, Associate’s Degree or commensurate experience.
•    5 years of related investigative experience.

•    Ability to assess critically evaluate the and advise on ethical decision making. 
•    Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the confidence, credibility and ability to work effectively within the organization and interact with both junior and senior business personnel.
•    Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize.
•    The ability to work independently.
•    Experience with global collaboration or project management.
•    Proficiency in the English language.
•    Thorough understanding of the ethics and compliance program fundamentals.
•    The ability to travel up to 20% the time.
