This role will be a part of the Global Oils Value Chain where the role will be responsible for managing the veg oil business in Asia excluding China. The role incumbent will be accountable for developing and executing the annual veg oil marketing plans, execution pipeline management, commercial execution management and account management for assigned food and energy customers in Asia excluding China. This role will also be responsible for biofuel feedstock origination and its relevant arbitrage for export outlet in Asia Destination Crush Value Chain.

 

Main Accountabilities:-

 

Oil Distribution 

  • Sales & Marketing
    • Develop and execute marketing and distribution strategy for Vegoil in Asia (excluding China)
    • Responsible for key account management of both food and energy customers in Asia (excluding China). Directly lead the sales book and key account plan for these customers
    • Acquire feedback on competitors’ activities and sales strategy
    • Improve customer retention through Bunge’s suite of customer solutions e.g. risk management and sustainability offering
    • Liaise closely with oils value chain and tanker freight to run a global physical flow
    • Devote time daily to keep in touch with customers, maintain close commercial relationships and developing new contacts
    • Coordinate travel schedule and routine visits to ensure adequate face time with customers
    • Provide value added service to customer through TFS and FRM opportunities
  • Risk Management
    • Execute futures, physcial, and paper traders and involved in implementation of appropriate risk management strategy in accordance with the prevailing supply and demand outlook
    • Identify trading and arbitrage opportunities around the Oil physical books
    • Manage futures hedging activities in Asia
  • Origination and pipeline management
    • Work closely with origination offices and crush assets align origination strategy and management of the Vegoil position
    • Identify key suppliers in Asia for long term partnerships / preferential access and adjust strategy accordingly
    • Determine additional value of supplier flexibility/quality/loading ports and price accordingly
    • Determine optimal allocation and shipment strategy, and coordinate with execution team to execute

 

 

Biofuel Origination & Distribution

      •  
  • Grow market presence in Asia and further enhance profit for the value chain by deepening understand on Asia biofuel market
  • Identify strategic partnerships and investment opportunities
  • Lead bioenergy feedstocks marketing in Asia
  • Establish partnership and supply agreement with energy players in Asia, and manage the quality specification and compliance, documentation, traceability, and other relevant requirements for EU and USA bioenergy market
  • Engage with Global team for price discovery & formulate game plan
    •  
  • Develop a sourcing strategy for biofuel feedstocks in Asia with existing Vegoil customers to secure stable and reliable feedstock supply to meet Bunge’s assets and trading needs

 

Market research & intelligence 

  • Be responsible for the communication with customers, competitors, brokers on a regular basis, collecting market information and demand outlook, revert timely to the relevant value chain groups and global research team
  • Be responsible for the market analysis on the Asia biofuel market fundamental SnD and local development on biofuel policy and regulation, market trends and building bridges with Asia and global research team

Job Requirements:-

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, or related field
  • Min. 5 years’ experience in agribusiness commodity industry or energy industry preferred
  • An industry domain expert with strong experience in managing large country/Regional businesses with min 5years relevant experience in trading environment
  • Familiar with the Asia biofuel landscape preferred
  • Familiar with the products and feedstocks sustainability and traceability certification applications preferred
  • Experience in managing Industrial customer in B2B format
  • Enthusiasm and eagerness to be a part of the “Commodity business”.
  • Willingness to learn and evolve in agribusiness.
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent written/verbal communication skills are essential.
  • Time/task and priority management.
  • Ability to work under pressure.
  • Team player qualities required.
  • Strong organisational and analytical skills.
