Overview:
We are looking for an experienced Head of DevOps COE professional to join the Product Development team in the Business Technology (BT) organization. The Head of Product Reliability & Technical Change Mgmt will be responsible for making Bunge’s technology services more resilient and performant through the development of new tools and processes. This role will promote and drive the adoption of SRE and DevOps principles within BT.
Essential Functions:

Lead a team to design, build and scale a high-availability, low-latency, resilient, fault-tolerant, and observable software environment

Oversee the team of Site Reliability Engineers, DevOps Engineers and collaborate with Product Delivery teams and BT’s CoE leadership to define and implement software deployment, monitoring, and infrastructure requirements

Promote SRE and DevOps principles, including automation and self-service, as part of a broader change management effort

Lead the design and implementation of new platforms and features for automation, observability, or other requirements, making sure they are compatible with BT's CI/CD framework, security policies, audit systems and processes

Support Product Delivery teams as they move to a more frequent release cycle through improved release management and CI/CD setups

Provide technical consultation to Product Delivery teams on DevOps and SRE topics

Create accountability with well-defined metrics and goals for process quality (develop, monitor and alert on SLIs/SLOs)

Hire and develop talented individuals, Site Reliability Engineers and DevOps Engineers

Foster collaborative culture improving interactions between Product Development, Cloud CoE, BT Operations, Security and Infrastructure teams
Requirements:
-
Master’s Degree in Computer Science or relevant field
-
10+ years of software engineering experience
-
5+ years of experience in building SRE and DevOps practices
-
5+ years of experience managing DevOps, SRE or software engineers

Extensive experience with and knowledge of best-in-class CI/CD pipelines and tools, monitoring tools, and logging tools

Demonstrated ability to leverage application and system metrics, log events, and wire data to analyze performance

Demonstrated ability to drive operational process changes and improvement within an organization

Proven experience in troubleshooting, mitigating and resolving issues in distributed systems

Experience with implementing SRE and DevOps for products deployed in production environment in the Cloud

Strong communication and collaboration skills with both technical and business stakeholders
