The Production Support Specialist is responsible for accurately and safely accounting for the loading of outbound trucks, ensuring accuracy to the extent possible of contract number, customers and load numbers. Additionally, this position is responsible for ensuring prior load content verification in conjunction with the food safety program and providing general building and equipment upkeep. This position deals directly with drivers, operators and customer.

 

Core Functions:

  • Adhere to safe work practices and actively participate in all safety programs
  • Responsible for ensuring that outbound rice is accurately applied to the customer and contract by verifying information from the driver matches existing load order.
  • Responsible for ensuring that all the product has the accurate load number and accurate destinations prior to drivers being loaded.
  • Responsible for properly printing out the daily load order from SAP
  • Schedule trucks for loading
  • Responsible for export documentation
    • Phytos
    • Certificate of Origins
    • Tracking/verifying Basic Commodities Containers/ Seal for OMIC docs
    • Gathering information for COA
  • Responsible for properly setting the loading order according to the daily appointments and the orders in SAP
  • Safely and efficiently perform Shipping Office duties
    • Check in drivers at window
    • Contact Shipping Supervisor with load concerns (availability of rice, truck overweight, wrong product, etc.)
    • Adjust SAP quantities when bags/pallets reduced or changed
    • After loads completed, verify products from pallet tags
    • Enter information into SAP for loads
    • Unlock containers for drivers (glad hand locks)
    • Record truck “in”, and truck “out” times
    • Keep track of “on time” scheduled loads
    • Record scheduled loads vs. actual loads daily
    • Update photo record of loads daily
    • Keep track of incoming equipment destined for the “hole”
    • Coordinate fumigation requirements of upcoming loads with Traffic
    • Track Export containers (Basic Comm, Itochu, Sumitomo, etc.)
    • Track/log iGPS pallets shipped out
    • Track/log CHEP pallets shipped out
    • Scale House responsibilities when coverage required
  • Must be able to effectively communicate and provide internal and external customer service and interact with truckers, loaders, supervisors, and guests.
  • Provide facility orientation to new drivers and address unsafe activities with truckers and/or report problems to management
  • Perform all other duties as assigned

 

Skill/Experience:

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Good communication (verbal and written).
  • Customer service skills and experience is preferred. 
  • Detail oriented, but able to “juggle” several demands in short order.
  • Knowledge of facility and logistics is preferred.
  • Computer skills including MS Word. Excel and SAP are preferred.

 

Work Schedule:

  • Shipping Office/Department is operated during the first shift. 
  • Overtime may be required.
    • The Company may be open on Saturdays, Holidays, and seven days a week during Harvest.
    •  Hours and days are subject to change.

 

Language: 

  • English fluency is necessary for documentation and systems. 
  • Bilingual in Spanish is preferred.
