Purpose of the role

In this exciting and challenging role, you will be able to be part and drive our ambitions and targets on the Plant Based market.

The working location for this position will be in Wormerveer - where our application lab is located (near Amsterdam).

The role

You will focus on providing application and technical support to our customers (internally and externally), to advise them on using our products in their applications. This means coordinating, talking to a lot of people, training colleagues, going to customers but also working in the lab to actually create the product.

This role requires application capabilities in order to translate the new ingredients into final customer products for Plant Based Meat and Dairy alternatives. We are therefore looking for a candidate with knowledge on plant based (preferably dairy), so that with you in the team, we can make a difference!

This role is essential in the development of Customer solutions and to support or lead Development Projects. You initialize, support and realize application projects with customers, for both existing as slightly adjusted components. Next to this, you are responsible to provide technological support & trouble shooting to customers (at-line support) and presentations and demonstrations, training seminars & workshops, but also to contribute to project as lead or team member in applications work for the team and wider company.

This role reports to our Application Lead (based in the Netherlands).

Skills & Experience

• Experience: 5+ years of experience in Plant Based applications (preferably Dairy);
• MSc/Academic/Bachelor level in Food technology;
• Experience in Innovation, Product and Process development and Project management;
• Proficiency in English; Additional languages (especially Dutch) are a bonus;
• Already residing in the Netherlands (preferably in the Amsterdam region) and in possession of a valid work permit;
• Willing to travel frequently, at least 25% of the time.
