Are you a food application engineer and a Master in Food craft? Would you like to manage a team of 5 application assistants, and carry out demonstrations to our Customers? Our Creative Studio

Our state-of-the-art studio is a dynamic workshop environment that pro-vides on-site support to confectionery and bakery manufacturers to co-create innovative new products with a sensory appeal, vibrant new flavors, and enhanced nutritional value while staying ahead of constantly evolving trends, supporting them in the design of exciting new solutions.

In this role you manage this facility, including the line management of a team of 5 application assistants. Together with your team, you conduct application testing to demonstrate the benefit of using our specific fats in the applications.

You lead your team of craft masters, so they can develop application proof for our core product portfolio and support value propositions on productivity, preference, sensory and shelf-life.

Furthermore, you lead various customer and development projects.

You report to the Director of Innovation EMEA and are based in Wormerveer (Greater Amsterdam Region).

 

Other responsibilities:

  • Design protocols to carry out the experiments in a safe, efficient and effective manner
  • Create an attractive facility that supports co-creation and application benefits
  • Guide our customers through the processes and run attractive demonstrations
  • Drive continuous improvement in order to keep the Studio, your team, our application models and benefits leading
  • Align priorities with stakeholders (such as A&TS, Sales, Customers, Product Development, I&OS)

 

Your knowledge and experience

  • BSc or MSc in Food Science & technology
  • 5+ years of experience in a similar role, preferably in the category confectionery, chocolate or plant based
  • Experience with managing a team would be in your advantage
  • You have a strong Food R&D background and are able to run a statistical and sensory panel
  • Consumer/customer experience
  • Excellent English language skills and preferably also Dutch language skills.
  • You are living in the Greater Amsterdam Region (max one hour commute)
  • Willing to travel occasionally

You would describe yourself as someone with a creative mindset; You come up with new ideas and have a natural curiosity and a desire to develop your skills and knowledge. As you will be leading a team and leading projects, we also expect you to have leadership and (project) management skills and an eye for quality and detail.
