Industrial Controller

In this role you will manage the controlling tasks related to our factories in Wormerveer, Neuss and our new high-tech factory currently being built in the harbor of Amsterdam. Bunge Loders Croklaan is a leading global producer and supplier of sustainable premium quality vegetable oils and fats for the food manufacturing industry.

You will work closely with departments such as operation, commercial and other finance teams to ensure that the production process is efficient, profitable and compliant. You will be responsible for the costing of materials, resources and inventory, as well as ensuring compliance with SOX and statutory audit requirements. Additionally, you will monitor and analyze budgeted and actual costs of production and provide insights and recommendations to improve efficiency and profitability

Furthermore, you will manage a team of assistants in the Netherlands (2) and Germany (1).

Other main responsibilities will include:

• Maintaining accurate and timely records of inventory levels in SAP
• Joing responsibility for a timely and complete month, quarter and year end closure including audits
• Calculating and updating the standard costs of materials and products, including depreciation, labor and overheads
• Comparing and explaining the variances between budgeted and actual costs of production on a weekly and monthly basis
• Weekly Stock Reports and other SOX-related requirements
• Evaluate and improve production processes
• Partner in developing a strong Controlling organization

Your profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field
• At least a few years of experience as an Industrial Controller, Plant Controller or within a similar role in a production/industrial environment
• Strong knowledge of SAP and MS Office
• Proficient in English, Dutch is preferred
• As you will be managing a small team, we expect you to have leadership skills
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills
• Good communication, presentation and interpersonal skills
• Flexible approach and able to deal with deadlines (especially during the month end)
