This is your opportunity to join a leading producer of sustainable premium quality vegetable oils and fats for the food manufacturing industry as our new Sales Development Manager East Europe. Oils and fats are indispensable ingredients that shape taste, nutrition and culinary experience. Our plant-based specialty oils and fats solutions meet evolving dietary needs and trends, delivering the functionality the food and nutrition industry demands, and satisfying the diverse tastes of consumers in every part of the world. 
This role requires you to be flexible in mobility. We are searching for a candidate based in Eastern Europe that can travel 50% of the time in countries like Poland, Hungary, Romania, Bulgaria and Greece. We expect you to visit customers across the countries, organize and take part in trade fairs and industry events. You will report directly to our Sales Director Specialties in The Netherlands, however, also receive close support from our East European sales team.


More on the role: 
As a Sales Development Manager, you are responsible for a set of 3 Bunge’s distributors in the region. Besides being the master of internal and external stakeholder management, you can easily translate internal propositions in concrete results while working with our distributors. It is crucial to understand the nature of Bunge’s business and possess the people skills needed to execute the role successfully to obtain this position. In other words, you need to understand the needs of our customers to be able to sell them. 
Not a day will be the same, as our customers need us when they do, however you can be certain to be in daily contact; to discuss our customers continuous needs, negotiate prices, or to co-create innovation or supply chain projects. 


Other responsibilities:

  • Establish and build on relationships with the distributors in Eastern Europe;
  • Define and execute various business strategies (for example pricing);
  • Build and maintain market intelligence through market mapping and sharing relevant customer insights.

 

What do you bring to the job?
You are eager to understand the functionality our products bring to their ‘applications’. Most importantly, you have a problem-solving mindset with excellent distributors management skills. You are an exceptional communicator often recognized as trusted advisor and due to your strong project management skills always able to meet targets and deadlines. 


Education and Experience:

  • A Bachelor or Master degree in Economics, Food Science, Agri-Culture or related area;
  • 7+ years of experience;
  • Technical understanding of vegetable oils & fats applications is a plus;
  • Fluency in English is required.
